May 2012

Here's my boys in the Hawaii shirts we brought back for them.  Man they're fun kids.  Kyler got his first dirt bike.  Note to all Grandma's:  Don't worry, it doesn't go very fast and he only rides it around the neighborhood and on dirt.  And he's only gone out once by himself.  It was only for about an hour.  He made it back safely thanks to the GPS we gave him.  Just kidding.  Brandon is always with him.  I got a few of you, didn't I?   We were so lucky this month to see two of my siblings!  Devin came down to visit over Memorial Day weekend.  We had so much fun with him!  As you can see, my kids can't keep off of him.  It's like that every time he comes down.  Poor guy.  We had a lot of fun at the pool with him.  Lots of crazy tricks going on.  And then a few days later, we went to play miniature golf and played video games after.  I didn't know they had a giant version of Fruit Ninja out.  The kids had almost as much fun as Devin did.  I love you Devin!!  Thanks for making the trip!!

Hawaii - Part 2 - May 2-9, 2012

We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center.  That was a lot of fun.  We went on a little canoe ride.  Then watched several performances.  I really enjoyed these dances done by each of the Polynesian countries.  I thought of Bryce and Brian several times (Brandon's brothers), since Bryce went to Tonga and Brian went to Samoa on their missions.   The Tongan Drums show was by far the best show there.  Surfing, of course, is around the top of our list for funnest things we did in Hawaii.  The waves were small, but we were first timers so I was ok with that.  I'm just glad we got up a few times.  I can't even count how many nature pictures I took.  Everything I saw was picture worthy, so here are a few of my favorite photos.  And then I got a great shot of my sister, Raena before she left.  She came down to watch our kids so we could enjoy this super fun vacation for our 10th anniversary celebration.  THANK YOU RAENA!!  You're the best sister in the world!  Love you!

Hawaii - part 1 - May 2-9, 2012

Wow.  Hawaii.  I can't believe that we actually got to go there.  It was incredible!  Everything I was hoping it would be.  Maybe better.  It was so fun, relaxing, exciting, rejuvenating, and more.  I would go back in a heartbeat if it didn't cost a fortune.  I love the first picture here of our feet.  This was the first day we arrived.  Just relaxed on the beach.  Doesn't this look like a Corona commercial?  The second day we went to Pearl Harbor.  That was an incredible experience.  The USS Arizona Memorial was so powerful, and humbling.  Then we saw the USS Missouri (battleship).  That ship has some incredible stories.  Pretty cool experience.  I had to take a picture of our rental car.  We started with something else and it had problems so we returned it and we just happened to get a mustang.  We were pretty happy about that.  It added a lot of fun to our trip.  Cliff Jumping was one of my favorite, if not my favorite activity the whole trip.  So much fun.  I jumped off twice and BJ did it 3 times.  I think it was about 40 feet high.  So much fun!  I needed a real adrenaline rush.  Saw the Hawaii Temple.  Absolutely beautiful.  Then BJ of course got his fresh coconut and drank the milk.  I tried it for the first time.  I think it's an acquired taste.  Not bad though.  I saved the coconut shells and wore them on the beach the next day.  JUST KIDDING!!

April 2012

Kyler read an 80 page book over his 2 week spring break, so Brandon rewarded him by taking him to the Pima Air & Space Museum.  Kyler's choice.  Easter is always fun for us and the kids.  Then for my birthday I got a new camera!  I was shocked big time, for the second time this year.  Man, my husband is building me up for something, just not sure what.  Maybe a new, full size airplane?  Who knows.  The camera is awesome!  Takes amazing pictures and videos.  I had fun on my birthday taking pictures of my kids in our next door neighbor's hot tub, at the air show and at my little birthday celebration with my girls!  I had to include some fun action shots of Kyler playing.  And I was floored by this picture I took of the moon.  I love this camera.  Good job husband!  You give the best presents!

San Diego Trip - March 2012

This was a very fun trip for our family.  We visited a friend and experienced the best of San Diego too.  We went to San Diego Zoo, Mission Beach and Seaworld.  The kids of course liked Seaworld the best.  Kyler loved that roller coaster ride, he sat in the front row, alone.  Crazy boy, he got completely soaked.  Our family got drenched when we sat in the "soak zone" to watch the killer whales.  Poor Kyler got it the worst.  Ahhh memories.
