March 2013 Part 2

We enjoyed a nice day with several members of both BJ's and my family while they were visiting for Kyler's baptism.  We went swimming in the pool at the hotel where Brian and Jenn were staying.  We came back to our house to celebrate Ryan's birthday.  He opened a few gifts and we had ice cream for dessert.  A few days later we had an official birthday party for Ryan.  His closest friends came over to celebrate.  He had a lot of fun.  He's hugging our next door neighbor and very good friend Maddy Grygla in one of the pictures.  And the last picture is the only evidence that I have of Easter happening at our house.  That and the candy still in my cupboard.

We continue to celebrate Kyler this month, don't worry Ryan, I'll get to you eventually. Kyler started scouts this month.  He looks so good in his uniform.  I didn't realize they started scouts at 8.  That was a bit of a shock for me.  I'm a scout mom now, yikes.  Then we had Kyler's baptism.  It was so nice to have so many friends and family come to support Kyler.  We love you all and thank you for coming, whether you traveled 10 minutes or 10 hours, more or less, we are very grateful.

February 2013

I needed to take a picture for Kyler's baptism announcement so I had a photo shoot in our backyard.  Naturally, Kyler wanted to have nothing to do with pictures, but my other two boys were ready to smile and pose.  So I had fun with my camera.  It's really fun having all boys, especially on Sunday.  They all look so handsome in their ties and white shirts.  We had another snow day this year, they seem to be coming yearly now, it's pretty cool.  So of course we went out to play!  I think all of Tucson did.  It snowed all day though, and that is very abnormal, I've only seen it snow in the morning and melt by mid afternoon.  So this felt more like a Utah's "first snow of winter".  And Kyler had another birthday.  I can't find a way to stop my kids from growing, it's so sad.  He's already 8.  I can't believe it!  A mission is right around the corner, scary.  So proud of him though.  He's become quite the strong, confident and talented young man.

January 2013 Part 2

Brent was kind enough to invite us to a BYU basketball game.  It was so much fun!!  Thanks Brent!  When we got back to Tucson, I dove into my very delicious Christmas present from Amanda.  Holy crap that whole basket of goodies was amazing!!  Thank you so much!  See my fingernails, yeah, that's the manicure I got when Jenn and I went out to get pampered.  Love you Jenn, plan on more pedicures when we're living up there!  Kyler and Ryan built their lego toys, BJ wins the "Best Gift Giver" award again, Oh I mean, Santa wins again.  Woops.  Kyler performed in his first musical, with his second grade class.  Pretty cute.  Kyler was not excited to get up and perform, but had fun once he was up there, I know it looks like he's yawning but he was really singing, I swear.  And to end January is my slick little baby chilling on the couch watching TV with his sunglasses on.  He LOVES sunglasses.  What a goober.  I love my family.

January 2013 Part 1

January started off with some good laughs when Ryan fell asleep on the stairs at Brian & Jenn's house sometime just before midnight on New Years Eve.  He is not our night owl.  He likes his sleep, he'll get it anywhere he can.  Not the only time we've found him asleep on the stairs, by the way.  We had some real good fun with my family in their ward gym.  Trevor, the athlete of the year, as usual, then my Mom is looking super fit, had to throw that in.  Summer helped Kade load his gun.  What a good cousin.  When Kade got done shooting people, he came to me for comfort, which is why I'm playing football with my baby on my hip.  BJ even got in on the action.  And Grandpa Mack didn't make it, he was shot down, probably by Kade, at least my other kids cared enough to come take care of him.  This last picture was me and my sister getting a bite to eat right before she left for St Thomas in the Virgin Islands, to work for Del Sol.  That girl is living it up!!
